As the planning takes shape for the upcoming events and rallies this year, I have added some new information to the Rallies Page. Hopefully this will become a good resource for all your events listings throughout the year. If you have an event you would like to see listed here, please email us the information and we'll try to get it up ASAP...

Updates to the Resource Pages and also added some new items to the Other Vintage Trailers section as well.

12/12/05 * * New Featured Shasta added to our site! * *
Brenda Coleman sent me some great photos and a wonderful story that I had to share with all. Check out her Featured Shasta link for more about her family's 59 Shasta.

9/30/05 * * Updates and Fundraiser for Beverly Hendricks * *
I would like to announce that VintageShastas.com is helping Beverly Hendricks in her fundraising efforts. Her project is the Pink Winged Warrior - Pinkster for short. She is in the process of rebuilding a 1960 Shasta to take around the country and promote Breast Cancer Awareness. October is Breast Cancer Awareness here in the US, and what better way to kick it off than by helping Bev out on her mission?! Details can be found in the Fall 2005 Newsletter.

Speaking of the Newsletter, I have now posted the Fall 2005 issue on the website for all to see. Originally I was going to make it a downloadable document, but after much thought, I decided to make it in an easy to read webpage format. You should be able to print it out from the website and take it with you to read somewhere else, if needed (I like to take these type of things to the coffeehouse and read over a nice hot cup o'joe).

I continue to add new items to the Gallery and Resources sections of the website nearly every day. There is new information in the About Shastas (history) section and cool retro pics there too! I still have more to do, but I'm getting there. Keep the emails coming, if you have something...we would be glad to share your thoughts and pictures with everyone!

The Classifieds poll has spoken! Here are the results of the poll...

As you can see, most of you can appreciate the value of this idea and aren't going to mind paying a couple of bucks to use it. I have something that I am putting together (without the pop-up ads!), and it should be up and running in the next couple of weeks.

* NEW SHASTA FORUM* Check out the brand new vintageshastatrailers forum! There is a link to it on the Yahoo Groups page.

I have tried to consolidate the "Other Vintage Trailers" stuff to two main areas. There are photos in the Shasta Gallery section to make it easier to see other trailers that are out there. And links to other vintage trailer sites are in the "Other Vintage Trailers" section. I hope this isn't confusing anyone...

One last note: Today we have reached a small milestone... 1000 hits on our site in only two weeks! I guess that speaks volumes about whether this site was needed or not. I view the stats on a daily basis and I can tell you this – 75% of the hits are first time visitors and 25% are returning visitors. This is great news and shows that the site is attracting people from all over the internet. And some of you are even returning to see what's new.

I have tried to increase the site's visibility on the internet by doing things like adding it to the Vintage Trailer Webring, announcing it's existence in the RV forums, doing link exchanges with other websites, etc...all to get the word out there. If you're not already, when the subject of vintage trailers comes up, do you think you could help me out by telling people about my site. I could sure use the help, thank you.

9/20/05 * * * * * Updates and new STORE* * * * *
I have had several requests for t-shirts and stuff, so I have added a "STORE" link on the left to allow easy access to the items I have for sale. I will be adding new products and designs all the time, so check back every once in a while...

I have also added a few new items to the Gallery and Resources sections of the website. Thank you for supplying info/pics to be added. I still have more to put up, and will do this as soon as I'm able. Keep the emails coming if you have something...we would be glad to share your thoughts and pictures with everyone!

I've also had many requests for a "Classifieds" section! Is this something you would like to see? Take the quick poll and let me know your thoughts about this, as I have something waiting in the wings if needed.

Note about the poll: By "little bit", I'm thinkin' maybe a buck or two...enough to keep those pesky popup ads away!

9/16/05 * * * * * Our Site is now "LIVE" * * * * *
After several months in the making, our new Shasta-centric website is up and running! I truly hope you enjoy seeing it as much as I enjoy creating it.
As you can tell, I still have a lot to do with this site, but with some patience, effort and some of your help, we can make this a wonderful place to come to!
If you have any suggestions, please drop me a line using the webmaster link below.
